Meet The Artist of Mystic Glass Creations
Hi, I'm Kimberley Anne Reid — a jewelry designer, glassblower and silversmith artist based in Victoria, BC. I create West Coast Inspired handcrafted Jewelry and Memorial Cremation Ash Keepsakes that I bring to life in fire.

Falling in Love With Glass
I discovered the magic of molten glass when I first arrived in Victoria in 2001 and instantly fell in love with melting and the West Coast. I quickly turned my fascination with flamework into creating jewelry and selling at local farmers markets. To this day, I create designs imbued with the wonder of the West Coast. When you purchase my jewelry, you get to take a little part of Vancouver Island, BC, home with you to enjoy on all of your adventures. Twenty-five years later, I still call the Island home and continue to sell my glass creations at local markets, finding inspiration in this magical place every day.

Turning Grief Into Meaning
I fell in love with glass for its beauty and creative freedom—but everything changed the day I was asked to make cremation ash jewelry for my roommate’s family after the loss of their great-grandmother. Eleven pieces. One deeply personal experience. My roommate told me she wore hers when she needed strength. Her mother never took hers off. That moment opened my heart to something unexpected: how powerful a small piece of glass can be in grief and healing.
That’s how this journey began.

Early Life Lessons
Losing my father at the age of four deeply shaped my understanding of grief and the importance of holding onto memories and finding healthy ways to heal very early in my life. Witnessing how my family, especially my Nanny and Grampy Tower, processed loss planted a deep desire in me to help others from a young age. I've seen how grief impacts people—and how art, connection, a supportive family and community filled with love can help heal. What a gift glassblowing has brought into my life to offer these treasures of remembrance for people to hold their loved ones close to their heart.
