Meet The Artist of Mystic Glass Creations

Hi, I'm Kimberley Anne Reid — a jewelry designer, glassblower and silversmith artist based in Victoria, BC. I create West Coast Inspired handcrafted Jewelry and Memorial Cremation Ash Keepsakes that I bring to life in fire.

Falling in Love With Glass

I discovered the magic of molten glass when I first arrived in Victoria, BC in 2001 and instantly fell in love with both the art of flamework and the West Coast. I quickly turned my passion into creating handmade glass jewelry and selling at local farmers markets on Vancouver Island... To this day, I create unique artisan designs inspired by the natural beauty of the West Coast. From misty coastal forests and glistening island light to the bottomless tidepools below, nature continues to guide my handmade West Coast jewelry and glass art. I love sharing my Vancouver Island passion through wearable art glass jewelry and memorial keepsakes for you to enjoy where ever life takes you....Twenty-five years later, I still call Victoria home, creating and selling my handcrafted jewelry at local art and farmers markets—forever inspired by the magic of this coastal place.

Turning Grief Into Meaning

I fell in love with glass art for its beauty and creative freedom—but everything changed the day I was asked to create memorial cremation ash jewelry for my roommate's family after the loss of their great-grandmother. Eleven handcrafted pieces. One deeply personal experience.

My roommate told me she wore hers when she needed strength. Her mother never took hers off. That moment opened my heart to something unexpected: how powerful a small piece of handmade glass jewelry can be in grief, remembrance, and healing.

Today, I'm honoured to create custom memorial jewelry that helps families keep their loved ones close.

Early Life Lessons

Losing my father at the age of four deeply shaped my understanding of grief and the importance of holding onto precious memories and finding healthy ways to heal. Witnessing how my family—especially my grandmother, after losing her only child—moved through loss planted a deep desire in me to help others find healing. I’ve seen how grief touches people, and how art, love, and community can help them heal.

What a gift glass flameworking has brought into my life, allowing me to create meaningful memorial jewelry and treasures of remembrance for people to hold their loved ones close to their heart. Each handcrafted piece is made with intention, love, and the hope of capturing light—like sunlight breaking through the clouds after rain, something you can hold close to your heart.
