Memorial Keepsake -Frequently Asked Questions
Glass offers greater longevity, clarity, and resistance to yellowing and UV damage, making it ideal for heirloom-quality, everyday-wear keepsakes, while resin is a more affordable, yet less durable option that can yellow, scratch, and fade over time. Glass is often preferred for its flawless finish and permanent clarity, whereas resin is more susceptible to wear and environmental factors.
I use laboratory-grade borosilicate glass, known for its strength and durability and used in wearable art and scientific applications. My jewelry is made for everyday wear, but accidents can happen. If a piece is dropped onto a hard surface and damaged, it can often be repaired. The jewelry would need to be shipped back to my studio, where it can be reheated, fused, and repaired.
Glass memorial jewelry is suitable for everyday wear. I recommend removing it during activities where it may be dropped or knocked against hard surfaces. When not worn, store it in a safe place to help ensure it lasts for years to come. Do not drop on hard surfaces.
My memorial jewelry is made from durable borosilicate glass and is designed for everyday wear. If a piece is dropped onto a hard surface and damaged, it can often be repaired, though not all damage can be fixed. Repairs require the piece to be shipped back to my studio, where I can assess whether it can be safely reheated, fused, and repaired.
Once I receive the cremation ashes, it typically takes 2–3 weeks before your piece is ready to ship. You’ll be updated with an approximate timeline once the ashes are received.
I’ll do my best. Please reach out to me by phone or email so we can discuss your timeline together.
All memorial pieces are hand-sculpted one at a time on an oxygen-propane torch using borosilicate glass. I work at temperatures over 2,500°F, carefully layering a small amount of cremation ash within the glass. I often incorporate .999 fine silver and/or 24K gold vapour, creating soft, swirling patterns. The cremation ash may resemble snow or tiny stars in the finished piece. Each memorial is unique.
Only a very small amount is required. ½ teaspoon of cremation ash is more than enough per piece. Please do not send extra. Any unused ashes are always returned to you with your completed order.
Yes. The cremation ash is visibly embedded within the glass and becomes part of the design. The appearance varies naturally depending on the ashes and the glasswork process, making each piece one of a kind.
Yes. I work with both human and animal cremation ashes and create memorial pieces for people and pets.
All remaining cremation ash is returned to you with your completed order.
Once you place your order, you’ll receive an email with detailed shipping instructions and a contact form. The form can be printed and included with the ashes or emailed to me directly. I recommend shipping the ashes in a tracked package. Canada Post offers tracked shipping boxes at a set cost (typically under $20). Return shipping is included in your order and is sent via tracked Canada Post parcel.
Yes. Accommodations can be made to ship to multiple addresses. Please let me know after placing your order so I can note this on your file. Tracked shipping is $25 per additional household within Canada and $50 USA.

Yes. I mainly offer customization in colour, size, and overall feel. While I do my best to honour special requests, there are times when something isn’t technically or artistically possible. If that’s the case, I’ll let you know honestly, with respect for both the process and your memorial.
Yes. Memorial jewelry can be made for all ages. If the piece is intended for a child or for multiple family members, we can discuss size, style, and options together to ensure it feels appropriate and meaningful.
Yes. Please explore the men’s memorial collection to view available styles and designs.
If you feel comfortable sharing one, I like to have a photograph present while I’m creating the piece. It helps me feel connected to the person or pet being honoured. Photos can be digital or physical and are always returned with the completed order.
