Every pair is torch-blown by hand in our Victoria, BC studio. We use traditional flameworking techniques to shape each crescent. The glass is carefully annealed for lasting durability. No two pairs are exactly alike.

Fuming, where 999% fine silver & 24K Gold are placed in front of the torch creating a vapour and used in different ways to create colour.
Patterns range piece to piece and are metallic, opalescent, 3-d, abstract, smokey patterns.
Silver is Blue/White/Green. Dark backing colour makes these colours pop.
Gold is pink with a white backing and orange with dark backing. Using both silver and gold creates a rainbow hues that range from white/blue/orange/pink/green/purple.
Different effects and colours are brought out by the backing colour and how the artist sculpted the glass.
Subtle changes in the hues depending on what light is reflected and creates a beautiful shine and movement inside of the glass.
Challenging to have full control the colour and will vary from piece to piece
