The focus of this fun 2-day class will be on making the flower bloom and come to life in beautiful 3-D forms 🌸
Students can decide if they would like to turn the flower into a marble or a pendant.
Intermediate (must have previous experience) Flameworkers are best suited for this class and will make the most progress. However, the class is open to anyone with basic flameworking skills. Students will be encouraged to work at their skill level.
All the glass pieces that you make are yours to take home. Pieces need to be picked up within two weeks or you can make arrangements to have them shipped.
- Fuming, where 999% fine silver & 24K Gold are placed in front of the torch creating a vapour and used in different ways to create colour.
- Patterns range piece to piece and are metallic, opalescent, 3-d, abstract, smokey patterns.
- Silver is Blue/White/Green. Dark backing colour makes these colours pop.
- Gold is pink with a white backing and orange with dark backing. Using both silver and gold creates a rainbow hues that range from white/blue/orange/pink/green/purple.
- Different effects and colours are brought out by the backing colour and how the artist sculpted the glass.
- Subtle changes in the hues depending on what light is reflected and creates a beautiful shine and movement inside of the glass.
- Challenging to have full control the colour and will vary from piece to piece
